Almanac & House of Kong
GorillazGorillaz Almanac, the very first annual by Gorillaz, was published in 2020 in partnership with Z2 Comics. Inspired by the great British tradition of the hardback annual, the Gorillaz Almanac is a full colour, one-of-a-kind, fun-packed, 210+ page, sideways homage to two glorious decades of Gorillaz.
We assisted the team at Eleven Management in assembling the mountain of puzzles, games and stories and other nefarious content supplied by Murdoc, 2D, Noodle and Russell into this compendium of delights which finally puts the most real band around on the printed page.
In 2025 we were again approached by Gorillaz’ management team and asked to design a poster for House of Kong, an immersive, multimedia exhibition taking place in the Copperbox Arena in London. Alongside Jamie Hewlett’s illustration of Pazuzu, we created a gritty, rough typographic treatment for the exhibition title and poster, which was adapted for a Reddit takeover, billboards and multiple social media formats for the exhibition announcement and launch.
